Some higher elevation areas in western New Hampshire and the White Mountains could see more. A wintry mix over parts of southern New Hampshire and gaps in the snow/mix will affect previously forecast snowfall totals of up to 10 inches. For communities in southern New Hampshire near the Massachusetts border and in parts of the upstate. Coastal areas could end up with 2-4 inches as well. TRAVEL CONDITIONSThursday evening’s commute should be fine in most places, except in southwestern areas where snow develops before sunset. Travel will be difficult after 7 or 8pm on Thursday across much of the country and into Friday morning. As the light snow will stop by Friday night or early Saturday morning, road conditions should slowly improve. Precipitation will be in the form of snow or a mixture in parts of the south-west early this evening, with a mixture or rain in the rest of the south-northeast. By evening, the precipitation will change to all snow and the snowfall will spread northward.

PROJECTED SNOW AMOUNT
