BML Munjal University (BMU), a Hero Group initiative, organized the official launch event of Atal Community Innovation Center-BMU (ACIC-BMU). In keeping with its philosophy, the launched platform exemplifies the university’s effort to create an ecosystem that nurtures tenacious, ethical and diligent ‘INNOVATORS AND ENTREPRENEURS’ who not only create economic value, but also address community issues and create social impact through their initiatives.
Center inaugurated by Dr Chintan Vaishnav, Director of Mission, Atal Innovation Mission, NITI Aayog, Prof Shyam Menon, Board Member, ACIC-BMU Foundation and VC-BML Munjal University, Manglesh Yadav, Program Director, AIM, Rajesh Kumar Jindal, Director, State Polytechnic, Manesar. Experts from the sector, consultants and investors were among the participants.
Atal Innovation Mission (AIM) will provide ACIC-BMU with a total grant of 2.5 crore over five years, with BMU contributing a matching grant within the same time frame. ACIC-BMU is incubating 22 startups. Founders of these initiatives include students, BMU faculty, and outside innovators.
Speaking on the subject, Prof Davinder Singh, CEO of ACIC-BMU Foundation, said, “India is witnessing a phenomenon where stakeholders come together to pool resources and create a start-up centre.
